Burn out kills. People are getting mentally fried. They shoot each other. Kids shoot each other. Postal workers shoot each other. EVERYONE'S shooting each other. What could be the cause of this mayhem?

Maybe it's the unobtainable idea of happiness always being just one more step away... just a little more money... beating one more competitor.... lack of contentment... always THINKING there is greener grass.

Well there isn't greener grass - just the lie that you will be a BETTER PERSON if you get there.

Housewives are desperate, smart people like rocket scientists have affairs and kill, kids pushed past the line "ELIMINATE" the competition - how else will they get "there"? That place they are told they should be, that false paradise?

How many extra hours do YOU work for a company that doesn't care WHO puts in the time? That irreplaceable time could be spent getting to know your wife better, or training your children to respect life.

What do you fill your pie chart of time with? Because whatever you fill in things you don't want to do, it takes away from the time of things you DO want to do.

I hate it when I accidentally see news on some website.

Its just life. Look at nature. Killing and competition everywhere. Yes the reasons are different, but only people care about reasons. Do reasons even matter??

You're absolutely right about priorities and how society helps turn them upside down. Charles is right, competitiveness and violence are part of many humans' nature and always have been. Every now and then, realizing the consequences still hurts, though

This is NOT normal. This is NOT just how it is and has always been. It IS getting worse, but people just accept it, like putting a frog in water and turning it up to boil. He just adjusts until he dies - and never notices it.

Name ONE mass murdering rampage that occurred back in the 1920's one room school houses and I will take back everything I wrote

Why do people go out to the wilderness on vacation to "Get away from it all?" That right there should tell everyone something. You wish to escape your everyday life? How about changing it instead?

Why do we put up with stuff like this? Are we just frogs boiking in water?

Yes, and they were ashamed and ran and hid from God. Today it happens far to much with little motivation and no regret at all. And I see more female violence than male violence these days.

There's a big difference in American today vs. just a decade ago.

What we have is a loss of morals.

Freedom of speech has been twisted in its meaning from what the founding fathers first intened.

There is no equity in consequences. America has politically corrected itself into a paralysis.

I think I understand what you are getting at WWJD. Just things like what used to be curse words 30 years ago are now every day language accepted from the mouths of children.

Violence against your fellow human is so matter-of-fact.

I expect politicians to be crooked. Why even vote? Unless you are among those of privilege do you really have a voice in this country, much less the governence of this country?

I just hope we don't get our right to ride taken away, that would be the final straw!
