I read where the 8000k was most popular but it looks pretty deep blue in the ads I have seen..

I don't know where you read that, but you might recheck the facts on that one.

The 6000K is the most popular.
The actual kelvin color varies by where you get it from though.

Do I get flashed with my Busa , no.....but I have the same kit on my
2000 GMC Jimmy diamond edition and yes, I do get flashed on that one.
If you're getting flashed on the bike, lower your beam angle more if you can.

likewise.... the HID highbeam seems a bit of a waste but it is better than the halogen..

I think it might to do with the focus point of the lens.

I have both 6 and 8K low-beam bulbs and the 6 easily outshines the 8 without the blue..
