High Mileage Pilot Powers

I just rolled 5500 miles on my Powers and it looks like I might just get another 500 - 1000 yet. I do pretty much highway, so it does have a little "flat" spot, but, nowhere near as bad as some of the other tires I have had.
Anyone else getting this kind of mileage out of theirs?

have just about 1k on mine and they look almost brand new still

Well I will go ahead and give a good review here. I have had the powers on my bike since the week they hit the market. They were put on at 6500 miles and since then the bike now has 15,000 on it. Now there has only been one SMALL burnout done on them but the front one is VERY good on tread and the back one still has about 2,000 more miles to go. And for those interested that back tire has seen a LOT of speed time in the 100mph + range and has still held up this well. So basically under moderate to hard riding conditions a pilot power rear is going to last about........

10-11 thousand miles!

For such a high performance tire to have a life that long I am soooooo buying another one this winter.

I only have about 800 miles on mine. But I did notice a difference in traction. I don't have many twisties done here. So most riding is straight highway. But as hard as I have pushed them they still look like the day I put them on. Can't say as much for the OEM tires I replaced. They had 2200 miles and already had a flat area halfway across the back tire. I also noticed the first time I twisted it up in 1st and 2nd that these tires don't break lose as easy as the OEM's did. It is actually pretty hard to make it spin now. It does wheelie more though.

Well, I figured that this post would jinks me. I punctured the rear today (6000 miles). It was a pretty fast leak, but, I was able to make it home. New tire already waiting for me at the shop.

vman1300, I KNOW your style is harsh.

For you other guys, do you peg the throlle alot in most of the gears? I am guessing that is the action that eats tires the most. I do and mine just eats tires. All that I have tried so far. I am interested in trying powers and comparing to my beloved Diablos.. should be interesting to hear what others say about Power's wear

3900 miles last week had to replace rear.........Punctured!

Replace front as soon as I get the Rear payed off. $218.00

Once you try them you will not look back.

just tell me the warm up and sticky is light years ahead of those silly HPX's I tried and I'm in

I have had Bridgestone BT 56 (stock tire) the Bt 010, the bt014, Pirelli diablo standard, Dunlop 207 & 208, and by far the best tire yet for me is the Pilot Power.

Most of the tires listed above I would get about 3-4 k miles except the Pirelli I got 1700 and it was done.

As for the Powers I got about 5 K outa the first rear and the first front has about 6500 on her so far. I LIKE IT~!

I've used both the Diablos, and Pilots. seem to get about 2500 from rear, and 3500ish on front. like both the same. i've been going with whatever 1 i can get best price on at the time, diablos better price last time /shrug. but i'm a trwisty fan, streight lines bore me =)

Did you put a 190 on the rear or did you go to a 200 like some other guys on the org?
