Why go to japan for asian women? You can get all you want in Flushing NY, on Main Street!
All the sights look great in those pics, however the food looks like a$$, never liked asian food!!!
 
brings back the memories! I have built a snowman in peace park, and jumped off the bridge you took the picture from. That water is not very deep

I was stationed in Iwakuni from feb95 to feb 96.

does the soba truck still make it's rounds on base playing that sad music??

In Central Florida the only Asain women I see here either have a mickey mouse shirt on and are on vacation with their family or a chinesse restaurant

Dustin unfortunately Smiley passed on in the late 90’s as did the Soba truck tradition, but the Soba shop is still open. I left Iwakuni in feb 95.
 
Gunny first off thanks for serving our country. Nice Pics's never had a chance to get to that side of the world did all my time in the Med and the Gulf. I served in the Navy from 94 to 06. Be safe out there

Looks the same as when I was there back in 1997. I was stationed in Iwakuni for a year. Been to those same places in those pics!!!

Is the ole Mama son lady still there that makes those Tuna sandwiches?

i would love to be able to go back to japan and tour. i went to kansai, kusatsu, and surrounding areas back in 95 for 10 days (11 thanks to northwest strike).

wasnt too fond of the seafood, but LOVED the steakhouses, beer, and SAKI.
