Bug, would you be so kind as to post up a pic of exactly how you have that bracket attached.  Not trying to hijack your thread, just working on a problem.

I think it is just the stocker bracket my man - My bro did it while I was installing the ZG DB up front - I removed the fender and dremmeled the thing off and ran the tickers through the reflector brackets - When I did the HMF I had to remove the brackets and am tickerless in the back right now - I can get some pics up later on tomorrow - I have spent all weekend on the thing and if I go back down to the garage, the lil lady will not sex it up for a while and I dig my bike and all but, well you know

Other than a difference between $600.00 and $1100.00.
