Horse Power?

Here's an interesting bit of trivia; below 5252 rpm any engine's torque number will always be higher than its horsepower number, and above 5252 rpm any engine's horsepower number will always be higher than its torque number. At 5252 rpm the horsepower and torque numbers will be exactly the same."[/quote]

And that is right about where that infamous "vibration" sets in. Coincidence? I don't think so. I bet you we are creating some sort of harmonic at that point.

OK Guys I gotta crack a funny( I dont mean to change the seriousness of the topic ) But its a perfect joke for the subject. I was working in a mechanic shop about 20 years ago and this old man worked in there , we were talking about HP vs. Torque and he said this " Boy let me tell you what torque is Now boy youre young enough to understand this so pay attention to what I'm say'in, when youre young and you wake up in the morning and you have to take a leak so ya go to the bathroom and whip out the pipe and it takes 2 hand to push it down , then when you do your feet come out from underneith you "THATS TORQUE!!!

sounds like something an old racer friend of mine (Joe Pierce) would come up with right about the time he put a finger through your chest
