HOW ARE YOU GUYS LOWING THE FRONT DOWN 2IN?

i have following this thread very closely and have put a lot of thought to lowering my busa around an inch, but only because i am also height challenged and an extra inch would be a big help.

so, if i am understanding this right, because i already have the genmar 1" riser i can lower my front around 3/4" by just sliding the forks upward in the triple tree ?

and then in the rear i can order adjustable dog bones to lower it ?

does it sound like i'm headed in the right direction to lower the whole bike the same amount front and rear ?

does anyone know what the adjustable dog bones are like ? are they a turn buckle with ends on them ?

yes you are headed in the right direction, if you already ahve the tree you can yes you can slide your forks up in them to lower the front, Just stay in the smooth area of the fork, don't get into the ribbed part. You can find both style of links here:

There are the 3 hole ones and the manual adjust ones, With manual ones you don't have to take bike apart to lower or raise back

Don't forget if you lower too far and then mono the bike there is a chance you could hit the sump plug and empty all your oil onto your back wheel

..what will be the difference if we DON'T lower the front but we RAISE the back instead?.. What I am after is a better bike position on the street so I can "dive" better in twisties - but I would not sacrifice the ground clearance - plus it would find easier on curbs if lowered (already this IS becoming a problem.. ..yes, I lean mean..

I've found raising links from snitzer but I am not sure - is this the correct way to go?

What gives?..
