how can clean a filter

NOT 4 MY BUSA IT GOES IN A LILE MITSUBISHI GENERAC GENERATER
I have had it long time prob 10 years just did oil changes.
Started cutting out on me @ track last week
ONLY WAY KEEP RUNNING TURN CHOKE ON A BIT.
Im draining oil+gas replace+ replacing plug cant find a air filter 4 it nowere.
JUST A SIMPLE SQUARE FOAM FILTER BUT i BEEN EVERYWERE.
Dont look real bad can I clean it?

I also grabbed a can small engine carb cleaner.

Nightflight, Find you a foam filter bigger and cut it to fit with sizzors. I don't know how to spell sizzors but you get the idea. If not wash it in gasoline and blow it dry. Then put a small amount of engine oil on it and squeeze out the filter. If it don't come apart you should be fine.

Either one will be fine as long as it cleans it. I think gas will dry quicker and will do the trick. Done it several times on my lawnmower filters.

I worked at a Generac facility for a few years. Only worked on the large gen sets though. Good luck with the filter.

I HAVE SOME K+N air filter oil mabe use that when it dries?
I hope I get generater kicking going be 90 this sat.
We have jegs quick 32 series this sat going be extra 30-45 min between rounds.
I need my fan:yes: + power my air compresser.

Good Luck Dude and check that spark plug. I have a Honda pressure washer and it would run awile then quit. Never seen a plug do that but a new one fixed it.

Alright she,s runnin smoth Didnt put load on it but been running 30 min nice+smooth.
All 81cc of her.Its a nice quit generater + easy 2 carry.ONLY HOLDS GALLON 6-7 HOURS RUN TIME.
IM GOING NEED IT SAT 90 FORCAST+HUMID
First thing shelter goes up and sides on it then get fan going.
IM 50 POINTS OUT OF 1ST+tied for second I cant miss.
JEGS QUICK32 IS OUR BIGGEST RACE OF YEAR.
