I don't know. I'll ask my mechanic what he uses

Just let the car run in the garage for about an hour prior to Busa work, you'll never even realize you're cold.

I used to burn the neighbors Kawi. Kinda sooty but it did do a fairly nice job of heating the garage. Had a LOT of work to do one summer and ran out of Kawi's. Didn't really know what to do. It's all I've ever known... So I moved to Florida

in So.Cal we usually just open up the garage doors after 8 am and it's warm no time lol

Thats  what I said CONDENSATION its a bad thing......
yeah.. but keep in mind i just want to heat it up to work on the bike... maybe 30 to 60 minutes max...

also.. about insulation... right now the garage (keep in mind i rent.. so investment is not going with me). is like a huge convex triangle shape cube.. no ceiling and no insulation anywhere... even the walls are just teh bare cement blocks..no drywall or wood framing..

thats why i was thinking the torpedo heater.. portable and easy... any ideas how expensive to frame and insulate and drywall.. i am guessing at least 500 bucks if i do the job myself...

thanks.. keep up coming.. if the wise ones :-)

I have a sweet Dual Element Propane heater I got when I was stuck in Nebraska, Take the chill outta the air in about 10 min. Also, I have a couple of Burly 500 Watt halogen lamps and those by themselves make a pretty efficient heater if it's just a lil chilly.

Trust me though folks, you don't want to head south just for the weather. It's not all it's cracked up to be. Nice place to visit once and awhile though.

Hey Guys,
any ideas on warming up the garage? i got a 2 car carage, detached, and not insulated.
i was thinking of one of those torpedo heaters, run of propane.

what do you guys use?
I have the kerosene ready heater 55000 I think. It's a small jet type heater. It works really well in my garage. I turn it on about 10 minutes before I go out there and its nice and toasty. I never had a problem with fumes.
