How far do you all ride at once?

If only gen 3 longest single run 53 miles Why my inseam is 29 inches and I had to lower bike or seat so seat came in now my problem is foot pegs ,I have new ones will put them on next , then comes muscle memory in my left foot my last bike was a goldwing then I’m ready to do some long miles. On other bikes
i done 4 corners 1000+miles run for the wall Long Island to Washington DC
6 times from Tucson az 4 times and for 6 years round trip from Patchague
Long Island to New You city 120 miles round trip 5 days per week. That’s not all
but as you see it’s all about the ride .

completed about 450 mile rountrip. Of that today's ride home was 180miles in the pouring down rain. On the display it said I had 16 miles to empty but I topped it off with 4.88 gallons. Was interstate drive in the mountains of western MD. Almost 37mpg doing 80mph 90% of the trip.

Despite being really too tall for the Gen 3 I find it oddly comfortable. The most I have done so far is 330 miles / 600 Ks of mostly back roads. Breaking in my new helmet for this egg head is the limiting factor so far (getting there). I have to say I do love the range of these bikes, though I did spend 40 min in a tuck once to try and make a cheap petrol station for shits and giggles and ended up with 1L left. I virtually never sit still as such which I am sure helps... always conditioning!

Well around here for me most day rides will be about 4-6 hours, stopping a few times ( that far to the twisties) Wish we would go back to no speed limits like it was

You had a time where there were no speed limits?

There'd be a lot of dead motorists around here if that ever happened.....they are nuts with speed limits, I could only imagine how crazy they'd be without any...

Sort of. Daylight speed limits on the Interstate were unlimited but ‘Reasonable and Prudent’. After dark there were limits. Of course, R&P was up to whatever cop was making the call. During those glorious years :firing: I drove, yes drove that time, from Missoula to Bozeman in just a tick over two hours. It’s 206 miles. That’s a 100 mph average for two hours straight. Going over the mountain had some corners I had to slow for but the rest was pretty straight. What a blast! A highway cop passed going the other way on a divided section of the highway and never even looked over. These days IME, Montana California and Nevada cops don’t worry me on any of their roads. There are 70 mph limits on two lanes and 85 mph limits on the Interstates. Utah Oregon Washington and Idaho cops do no matter what kind of road I’m on. Of course I always travel with my V1.

The way people drive here, half of them would be dead and the other half wouldn't be able to afford the insurance to drive...

For some reason the people around here are scary drivers...

My mind could stay on my bike all day but my body makes me stop after an hour or so....

I know my limitations.....

Man that’s tough. That’s about a quarter of one of my day trips. The ride over the mountain and back is a lil over 300 miles and as I age, a lil more strenuous. So many corners, all above a mile high. Arthritis is getting more painful in my hands but so far not disabling. The pain is present whether or not I’m riding. My first day’s mileage on tour is usually over 400 miles, Winnemucca NV to the NE and Vegas to the SE for example. I am riding fewer miles for the rest of a tour though, 300 or less and I’ll stop as often as every 60-90 miles depending, and usually for just 10 minutes or so. No more full tank runs w/o stopping for me.

The joys of having so much fun when I was young I guess...

There was a time when I basically lived on my bike so at least I have those memories....

Nice thread bump.

I'll just put this here. Good times all. :firing:

Long roads, long days, love all of it. Headed back to Nevada in a couple of months just to ride this...
