I am haunted by the same problem. I like changing my bike ever 2 years or so but being that this might be the last really fast bike, I guess I will just keep this and get whatever is the next best thing.

When you sell the bikes, the rates the dealers offer you are insulting, at least I think. I had a 97 GSXR1100 before this and they wouldn't give me anything above $5,500 CND for it

The only reason I sold it was my lust for the busa

I thought i heard that they wernt gonna make the SUPERBIKES super anymore. Some new regulation thats gonna prohibit TOP SPEED. Cant use it for a selling point, and caping the speed at 170 or somthing. I think the 2k is gonna be a collector's item.

I read something in a foreign mag saying something about ALL bikes being limited to 186 next year. So that would include the 01 busa and that is why I'm settling for a red/gray. I wanted a blue/silver but all that's in my area are red/grays and not many of them. The dealer mentioned about new 2001 colors but I don't want to take the chance of getting a "slow" busa. If I'm going to pay $11K for a bike because its the "fastest in the world" then I want it to be true. None of this, "the busa will do 197, oh except for yours" crap. So just to be safe you may want to save your bike and treat it real nice because you may have one of the last "top speed war" bikes. Now, I'm not saying don't ride it hard! You'd have to be crazy!

Yeah, thats what i figures. The RED and GREY is sweat. I love it. Its the only one iv seen aroud. Passes several BLU/SVLR, Black and that ULGY coper thingy (lol JK). There all pretty bikes, no matter what you got, if your on a busa, your turning heads. Check mine!

I like my 99 Copper but I know the GSXR1000 is going to set the sportbike world on its ear, next year. I just don't know about buying a first year bike (like I did).
