How many have there "ham" radio license

my job required me to get my license after the hurricanes wiped out New orleans. (I'm in the medical field and would need to talk with other hospital's and blood center's in an emergancy)

now I think I'm going to buy one for the house...
could be fun..... and was wondering who all I could talk with from here.

I have a cb and police scanner in my garage....as far as having a HAM radio, I would rather use the phone or email.
