I like to change mine out every 7000 miles or so, i can tell when it starts feeling slopy back there to much lash in the drive train

Hmm, Mine started feeling a bit chopy a couple of weeks ago. When I shift gears sometimes it feels like something is wrong with the rear tire. Never thought about this..

and its only about 40 bucks to swap em out to, well worth it i think:goodidea:

Just changed tires at 8000 mi. and the hub was hard to get back into the cush rubbers so I guess they are still in good shape.

put your bike on a rear stand

if you hold your rear sprocket still and try turning the rear wheel...you will feel slop...normally slop tells you they are worn. New ones norally feel like you have to put effort into putting your cush into position. (ie: no slop)

Changed my first set at 17,000, don't know about you guys but I hammered them. Replaced with stock, and it was an amazing difference. Now, have a set of KPS that are going in my new LE wheels......uhhh....that is...when the Spud has some spendable income... :super:

i'm at 28k and definately due for new ones but i just haven't got around to it yet. it's part of my winter list.???

SmithBoosta or something close to that had some heavy duty cush drive rubbers. It's really going to depend on the rider. Shake the rear wheel, you don't want a lot of play.

I like the kojak items but still not a supporter of the idea of making a flex point stiffer...pushes the shock that should've been absorbed there to other places.....places that break instead of wearing.....expensive places.???
