How many of you guys wear earplugs?

I use the foam ones too. Tried the ribbed ones at the range, and they hurt my ears. Now use muffs at the range (much more effective). I just started putting a pair on the bike with the tools, because I always forget them when taking a trip. Not needed in the city, even with my 6 into 6 valk barking behind me. WInd noise in what bother my ears, not the exhaust.

RICK: Please describe your "active noise reduction headset." Is that something that will only go in an Arai? If it can go in other helmets where do you get this thang, sorry thing, and what does it cost?

Since it is resurrected, might be some good info for new peeps.

I always wear earplugs, you can still hear things just not as loud. Wind noise alone WILL damage your hearing if you don't, studies back this up. I think it improves the quality of the riding experience, noise is a stressor in and of itself as well as creating fatigue- why do you think you're so tired after flying? That wind scream past the fuselage may be quieter than from outside but it still wears you down.

Mostly wear 'em. Only take 'em out to hear the bike and make sure it isn't having any problems.

after I saw sean wearing them I gave it a shot.  I wasn't as tired after ride'n all day.  Noise fatigue is real

I use Macks  earplugs; the foam plugs don't give me enough protection on the Hayabusa or Harley.
