lol I ride in the rain all the time. If it is not raining when I leave for work, then Im riding to work. It could rain cats and dogs once I get there...

My candy azz won't melt...

I flipped the plate mounting bracket upside down, trimmed the bottom edge of the bracket and remounted it as high as it would go by drilling new holes in the fender. I think it mounts the plate at a jauntier angle.

Yep! Still figuring out how I'm goin to stuff that fat bastid in there. 250x18 venom with a 8.5 wheel. Fits fine with no sprocket!

Its got nothing to do with being a candy azz, it has to do with geting road spray up on your gear bags while riding in the rain. I keep mine to prevent just that because I tour extensively whether or not its raining.

Its got nothing to do with being a candy azz, it has to do with geting road spray up on your gear bags while riding in the rain.  I keep mine to prevent just that because I tour extensively whether or not its raining.
Actually, I got stuck in a real heavy rain one day after chopping mine off. I have full saddle/rear seat bags and they didn't get wet or muddy like the rest of the bike. I think the mufflers really block most of the spray.
Yet there's still enough shovel left to keep water from spraying onto my back.
