Right now crude oil costs about $72 p/barrel. It cost $8 p/barrel less in 1980-1981, during the Iran/Iraq War. Gas topped out at about $2.50 p/gal at the pump. Now it's projected to reach $4+ by the end of summer. Just how much more expensive did it get to process oil into gas? It didn't! It's cheaper now, than 20 years ago!
We need to invest our time and money into alternative fuels, and technology that will cut the ties to OPEC and Vennezuela forever! Performance is possible in a hydrogen car. It just burns more water to do it!
