We know its bullet proof , but live examples will be good .

How reliable is it ? ,the chassis ,motor , brakes ? .How often the problems come up . How many miles before a engine break , so on ,so forth .Would like to hear them  .

I've got 50,000+ miles on mine. No major issues yet.

Others have way more than that and still, no problems.

Keep the maintenance up on it and it should run, well, forever!

Hypothetically speaking, that is.

:D

Gen1 or Gen2 ???

THE TRANNY WENT OUT ON MY OLD 02 i SOLD.

I HAD DRAG RACED IT 3 YEARS OR SEASONS + IT HAD OVER 10,000 MILES ON IT.

My 05 has 34K and runs like the day I brought it home. Quoting from December TWO magazine -- "What goes wrong? Not a lot. a massive 83% of the people who filled in our on-line survey reported no problems with their bikes.":beerchug:

Over 35K on GenI, got the GenII. Rear Tire and Gas, oil and oil filter, then rear brake pads.

Very Reliable

i've got an 06 with......3600 miles on it and I just did an oil change:rofl: still rides like the day i brought it home 3 months ago with 1700 miles:)

sorry....i had to

my brothers old one had 15k and he had no problems at that point. both of us are normal daily riders. no racing

33k miles on my 06/ the only problem was both front forks leaked. one at a time the second and third year. That ticks me off cause i dont do wheelies. but other than that. nothing but love 4 her

3 busa's (all gen 1, im poor)
1st had 38k miles (stolen)
2nd had 44k miles (wrecked)
3rd has 14k mikes
not a problem other than a jammed trunk lock!

and i ride the piss outta these fkrs
just change oil and adjust valves @ 16k like recc.

I have friends who flog the heck out of the Busa's at the drag strip, and have had very few problems. They are very reliable, (unlike Hardleys) sorry, I could not help myself there. :poke:

Pretty normal maintenance there. Fork seals wear and have to be replaced at some point.

37K+....no issues, regular service intervals (plugs and throttles every 7500, reg. chain maintenance and checks, brake pads, tires,) coolant every 2 yr's, hoses and lines every 4 yr's but not really needed, just regular intervals :super: Mine's a daily driver, and trip taker.... :oldcool:

Now what "issues" are they talking about....the pilot's have more issues around here than the Hayabusa's..... :super: Thank you, thank you very mushhhhhh..... :oldcool:

The transmission hands down. They are the weak link for the Busa. First thing if I get an 08-09'Busa will be to undercut the trans.

One of the guys I ride with has a 2000 busa with 100k on the chasis, he builds and sells his motors.
