Oh, Yeah I am back in Tampa Now... The wife and I rode out Charlie last night at her folks house. Had a Tarnado rip up their neighborhood a little bit. At least that is what we are figuring because the "Hurricane" winds were only at about 80-90mph. We lost power at about 8PM I think.
And Yeah, Rev feels kinda guilty for re-aiming that storm... Tell you what seems like that bastard just locked onto Rev, followed me through Orlando, than slapped around TitusVille and the rest a little bit.
BUT, In the middle of the wind howlin and trees snapping... I took a Swim... I just felt the urge to go thumb my nose at the storm, pulled on my trunks, and went and hopped in the pool... Felt kinda bizarre, but then again, was an interesting experiance... Besides, water stops projectiles pretty well...
So yeah, I spent the morning behind a chain saw... Here's what I learned...
1. Rev needs to move back up north because this heat and humidity shid is killing me.
2. Oak is a BEEEYOTCH to cut and is heavier than hell... OMFG, I have never spent so long with a chain saw for so little progress.
3. Fire Ants don't give a shid about your purpose or good intentions, they will still bite the fug outta you.
4. Fire ants keep biting when you hop into a the swimming pool.
5. A cold shower still feels good as hell after sweating your ass off all day...
6. It's still funny to smirk at the ####### across the street here in Tampa that spent all day Thursday Fitting plywood to every window in his house...
Anyhoo, thanks for your thoughts folks... I still cannot believe I drove all the way to the other side of the penninsula just to line myself up with this storm... My heart goes out to those further South that just got absolutely hammered.... So far 5 dead, more missing...
