ok i know its my commuter but i figure with a full system HMF dual high mount and BMC race air filter (cleaned last week before haya's) PC3 usb with map for dual HMF hi mount and airbox mod i would have pulled much higher numbers than this!! note the carbon blowing out on first and second run close to rev limiter. does anyone have some tested maps they can email me chrisjp@neo.rr.com i can test. as i said in video i want to get it tuned bad now...possibly when i go to the bash...i heard there is a good busa tuner everyone likes down there. oh...the numbers... 151.02 first pass 155.02 second... :banghead:

Bro , Don't get to hung up on Dyno numbers . They are all different ! Your Busa looks and sounds great !

yea but a bking with just a pizzaz 165?

was it a bazzaz tuner? bking has the gen2 motor that will pull more hp than the gen1 mod for mod. like everyone else stated, every dyno is diff, and dyno number without time slips is just and educated guess.

cool video, I liked the "10 years of dust" comments at the end.

I guess if all an engine that size does at 11,500 rpm is blow some carbon smoke, it really isn't that bad.

& I believe you, I'm sure you keep that thing cleared out!

Too many factors to influence numbers, Chris. Atmosphere, humidity, air temps, tire to drum slippage, etc. And for your type of riding when it comes down to it them at bad numbers at all. You have no reason to think poorly of your combo, dat's a nice ride! :beerchug:

Chris, rear seems set up real loose. They did not put much down pressure on the rear tire which "could" cause slippage on the roller. Very loose to any dyno runs I've seen. Also, the BKings dyno very well. most of them put out 152 to 157 stock, and I mean stock, no air filter change, no muffler, etc bone stock. But all in all you could pick up 10hp just by dynoing again with some pressure on the rear tire and a good tune. Good luck!! Oh and I like those white Busas!! Very purty!

That hp # seems as high as it should be for a common downloaded map. My bike when I added an alien head system did 151hp also. The custom map made specifically for your bike will have the results your looking for.

Chris, my bike pulled a 140.99 first then one minute later,143.94. My only mods are yosh slip ons and a k@n air filter. No PC, nothing, just those two. Unless you want to count my tent, camp cup and pink flip flops on the back! Along with all my assorted other camping gear!

I agree with other posters, thats more HP than anyone ever needs and uses. Initially i was disappointed, but i realized i had been reading to many suzuki promotional brochures!

Of course, those dyno numbers published are the optimum conditions and of course are those numbers at the crank or at the rear? Huge difference.

So considering that my bike is pretty much completley stock, i will take my 144 and be happy with it.

BTW, i came second in my class and i was the only chick that entered the dyno contest.

As an aside, sitting here looking at the dyno chart, its reminding me of sex, slightly open throttle, then the thrusters( no pun intended, LOL) kick in, builds to peak power, then sharply drops off.

And if you are young enough ( colton?) you even have enough left for a second run!

So, if we want to equate dyno pulls with sex, I would say
, chris, your wife should be a happy lady!!!!

either way its a nice fast bike! And there is deffentily more power lurking in there, wanting to come out (remember daniel son you best karate still inside, now time to let out!)

Def not the greatest dyno setup, If you want better numbers get a gen II :poke:

Maybe it's just be but I think dyno numbers are not as important as rider skill. I think you got a great looking bike and setup. Don't sweat it!

SAE correction instead of the often quoted STD correction. STD will show higher numbers than SAE. The numbers you are seeing are very close to what mine was with pipe and tuning before I made more drastic changes.

I wouldn't worry about it man. Dyno numbers are fickle IMO its more about how much power you make across your powerband than just seeing what its max is. besides that's a clean busa for 23k

Chris as far as your dyno run goes, don't think that that's all the horsepower that you have in the busa. The dyno wasn't even calibrated before you did your pull!
