(dudewizr @ Nov. 22 2006,09:flamethrowing:) Back in 1992 the Comedy club in dayton had African American night, my buddies Uncle was the Pres of the local NAACP and hooked him up with about 10-15 tickets so a bunch of us went to see Chris Rock just as he was comin' up.  So we get there and besides me and my wife there is only one other white dude in the place but I didn't really notice it at this point.  Chris Rock comes on finally and he precedes to get this other white dude on stage.  I mean Harley bandana, leather jacket, wallet and chain and the whole nine yards.  He starts in on these hillbilly clan jokes, motorcycle gangs, etc..  The guy is really not laughing either, so Chris asks him what is wrong and he states he's not comfortable up there ( which was obvious).  So he says "why's that because all of us N's up in here?  The guy shockingly says "NO".  Chris says "you ever been around this many N's before?"  the guy again says "NO" and Chris immediatley fires back with "Oh so now we're all N's to ya huh", the guy about passed out, he didn't know what to say.  People were callin him names and booing him, the last thing Chris said was "Uh can we get security for this Cracker when he leaves" and everybody laughed.  The guy stayed throughthe rest of the show but when he left his car which was parked at the back of the lot had all of the glass (windows, tail lights and headlights) smashed out.  I don't remember seeing this on the evening news.  I'm not saying whose got the right to say what but this is another classic example of the media making a mountain out of a mole hill.
There are countless stories of racism. Not one of them justifies even one more occurence. It all stinks.

thats another example of why you should always fall back on the time honered insult of "YO MAMA", had he just said that instead of flipping out all would have been good!

I could care less about what he said, to me it's all just words, but as a proffesional he should have been able to handle the situation in a more proffesional manner. Bottom line is he lost his bearing and will pay for his mistake as he should.

On the other side I give respect to the guy he went off on for just getting up and leaving and keeping it on a verbal level, thats as far as it needed to go

Still the same Joe, people of all color commit hate crimes. No one deserve to be treated or spoken in such a hurtful way because of color of their skin.

You,Brian and I still need to hookup and do dinner, also give me a jingle when have time later on.

The actual words don't bother me, its the intent behind them that bothers me.

You can call me or anyone else anything in jest, that's all good.

But if you're intent is to upset and provoke me or someone else, it doesn't matter what word you use.  That'll upset me and I think that's wrong.

I find it funny that the FCC bans certain words.  Words are meaningless.  Intent is what matters.

WoW!!! im suprised someone dident hop up on the stage and whup his azz at first i thought there was some sort of punch line coming but it looks like mike lost his mind there they will dog him for a couple years and you watch he will be right back with a new gig I mean damn, he was already on letterman doing a clean up on isle 5......

on the other hand its hard to take any of it seriously black comedians use the word over and over and call each other this name constantly no one should say it

its funny to cause it seems that those of the hollywood persuassion (liberal) always seem to be the elitists that think they can get away with this sort behavior all the while condeming everyone else who dosent agree with their politcal view like i said, clean up on the letterman show

Dissapointing, being he was my favorite character on Seinfeld! I dont' buy the "I didn't mean it line". You all should know by now I'm a believer in the Word of God and it says "out of the abuncance of the hear the mouth speaks"(Matthew 12:34). So what we feel in our hearts comes out, sometimes it takes anger or alcohol or both! I still think he's the funniest guy on Seinfeld, I've learned to not allow a word to offend me anymore, because I know who I am in God. So, to heck with who or whatever anyone else thinks I am!

I agree, but what I'm saying is his intended audience was probably 75 or maybe 150 people. The guys and idiot period but now his discressions wether it was an uncontrollable rage or pent up feelings finally coming to light have now, because the media chose to blow it up have now affected millions. While others do the same thing and it becomes laughable. I'll bet Howard Stern would of got away with it, heck he probably could have charged $39.95 for people to listen to it.

Ditto on the dinner.

Big deal. He said something he shouldn't of.  An apology should of been enough. But it's alright for other nationalities to bash white people?

I thought the samething at first, but then I learned that he never appologized to the person involved just the public.

That made me wonder, as a christian I am all about forgivness when it is deserved.

more importantly...who illegally snuck a video camera into the club so they could sell bootleg videos!

Nice going "Kramer".... You Jackazz..

no different than what chris rock and 99 out of 100 black comedians do everynight..

I personally don't care one way or the other.. he's got his opinions I got mine and life goes on..

oh.. and I feel the same way about this kramer thing too. ;)

I'll keep this short.

As for his first outburst, imagine if Chris Rock told a Jew "50 years ago he would have been thrown in a gas chamber" and then began spewing racial slurs. Or telling a white man he should have been in one of the towers on 9/11 and then began spewing racial slurs. Anyone who thinks he would have gotten away with that is a fool.

As for the other questions/comments, I'll say this.

A Jew can get away with picking on and using racial slurs towards a skin-head. It doesn't work the other way around. A black man can get away with picking on and using racial slurs towards a white man. Again, it doesn't work the other way around. I'll let you figure out why society has set that double-standard. Do I agree with that double-standard ... nope. But the fact of the matter is its there and the reason behind it isn't hard to figure out.

Personally I don't use the "N" word nor the "C" word as a referance to anyone.

I wasn't directing my Chris Rock comment towards anyone who used him as an example. I used Chris Rock because he was the first stand-up comic I thought of who uses an abundance of racial jokes in his act.
