I can't believe my busa hasn't sold...

Yep, sounds like we have the same luck sellin' stuff. It's like when I was lookin' for a painter gas tank. Everyone was outbiddin' me on ebay for 'em and they were goin' for up to $200 with small dents and/or light rash. Finally got one though. When I decide to sell it I can't give the muthafugger away. I've even posted about it in threads lookin' for a painter tank and told them to just make me an offer... Haven't got the first offer. Par for the course for me though...

The strange thing is that I haven't even had a low ball offer on the busa. I fully expected to get some of those. That's about all I ever get when I try to sell anything for what it's worth.

I'll start the low ball bidding at $4000 like the bike sets in the pics and you bring it to me in Va. Ok just kidding I'm not sure why its not sold either since it is one sweet bike at a great price with some of the best mods that you can do to a busa. Post it for sale on www.psychobike.com you might find some interest on there.

Seriously BT. I would look at it as a sign.

I have a 16foot tri hull with a 140HP Johnson on it, totally new Marine grade flooring, carpet everything, I started out selling it for $2000.00, then dropped it to $1500.00, then a $1000.00 and the only thing close was a guy offered me $800.00. I told him the lowest I would go was $900.00

My main reason for selling it was so I could get money to pay off some bills so I could by a larger boat.. I aint going to give the thing away, so I finally said forget it!! I will just keep it...

Sometimes no matter how sweet you make the deal, sometimes it is just not meant to be.

Look at other options...

newredboosa I'd never seen a red 04 LE in person either till I went to pick mine up. I pulled up outside the dealership and there was this gorgeous pearl metallic red Busa sitting there waiting for me

BT, I know it sucks and don't want to repeat what others have said. In some respect I believe that things happen for a reason that we may not know or understand. I don't believe you have done anything wrong, so while it is tough for a few more months that's not really that much time in the overall scheme of things. It would be extremely nice to have the money situation taken care of right now, but you at least have a plan and things are starting to come together. Take advantage of the time, ride 'Da Train and maintain your skills while the weather holds. By the time next riding season starts you should be close to having your situation resolved and be ready to put 'Da Train back on the street. BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WON'T SOMEBODY MAKE AN OFFER ON 'DA TRAIN AND HELP BT OUT!

Well, it's lookin' like I'm also about to have to do somethin' about gettin' another cage, too, so it ain't quite as simple as just the debt anymore. Sounds/feels like the damned transmission is about to go out in my Maxima now. Just what the fug I needed.

If I sell the busa I can get cleared up, get a truck of some kind, and get another bike pretty quick. If it doesn't sell, I'm gonna be stuck ridin' the bike everywhere I go all winter and I don't have winter ridin' gear. If it was spring time that wouldn't be all bad. It'd suck over the winter though...

It'll all work out to the good. It always does. It just doesn't always work out according to my time schedule.

It's a divine sign that you should just keep the bike.
I'm with them Chris.....Maybe it just ain't suppose to be...

It may be a sign that something else is going to happen to get you totally turned around....you'll look back and thank heaven that it never sold. I did that same thing a few years back when times were tough...put some items on ebay that was killing me to part with but my back was to the wall. I got some replies but it never came to a sale....thank God. A week later I had a new job paying me twice as much as what I was making....wierd. Things just have a way of working themselves out.....we're just in the dark and naturally go into survival mode until they do.

All in all whatever it takes to get yourself on the right track I'm behind you...whatever that means....and I wish you the best. Don't get discouraged just keep pushin' on bro!!

When a busa don't sell, it's because the price is to high. I have no idea what you are asking for your busa but from past experience I find most people have a misconception of what their mods are worth. In actuality, your mods are probably worth only half of what you paid for them at resale time? Most guys want as much for their prized busa as one can be purchased at their local dealer. You are always at a handicap for selling as an owner because the only guy who is going to buy is one with cash. My guess would be the red busa has great appeal to the younger crowd which generally doesn't have cash to buy. The older crowd like me who have lots of disposable money don't care for the bright loud colors. Just the nature of the beast. A trick that I learned is to post it for sale in the Cycle Trader and list a price and in the discription, indicate that you will be lowering the price a $100 each week until the bike sells. Someone will scoop it up. Cycle Trader is a great place to sell your scooter. It is world wide and most everyone in the USA looks at Cycle Trader ads when shopping for a bike. The audience is tremendously huge. I recently sold an Aprila Tuono on Cycle Trader and got exactly what I was asking. I had a number of people make me offers but would say, if it doesn't sel by months end I'll consider your offer. Good Luck on converting your scooter to cash but my guess is, it's getting late in the season so not as many people interested this time of year. So if you really want to sell now, you may have to reduce the price accordingly?

Keep it. Even though you can get something later you would end up kicking yourself in a** for selling your best toy. You have put work and heart into it so take the required time to get everything straightened out. Once all is good, you will have that much more appreciation for your ride.

Yes I do. I have to go to soccer but I will post some later when I get back.

I will start a new thread so look for it. or I will PM you with the thread..

I was gonna buy it, but I heard that someone was riding it and he burned rubber in front of a cop.
I hear that they are still looking for that bike.
Matter of fact, I saw a BUSA WANTED poster in the Post Office last week.
I have enough trouble with the law without riding a bike with a bounty on it.

I've had a few of my co-horts intercepting and monitoring your phone, email, and board traffic. Intercepting the interested parties and directing them to other available Busa sales in the region...

Don't sweat it bro, the board knows what is best.

BigBSBusa -

here is a link to the thread that has pics of my boat.

It is an old boat, hence why I was willing to sell it for $1000.00

But it runs good and is a great starter boat. Or something to take out fishing...

Anyway, probably wont sell it now. We are looking at refincing our house to pay off some of the bills we want to get rid of, which is the only reason we were going to sell it in the first place. Now it really doesnt matter. And heck, she aint pretty, but she is a boat, she is mine and it is paid for.

BT,

I don't know if you decided to use Cycletrader or not, but I would suggest it. I just sold my 2000 Yamaha R1 on Cycletrader. It took about 6 weeks to sell but I think the 3 hurricanes that ripped through Orlando may have played some part in the length of time to sell. If you decide to go with Cycletrader, I would suggest to pay to run the ad till the bike sells. I originally payed $75 dollars to run the ad for a month, and it sucked having to turn around at the end of that month and pay another $95 to run till it sold. I would pay the $100ish it costs to run a 3 pic ad till the bike sells. Look at it this way, a $100 bucks to get national exposure on a heavy traffic site is worth it and may be the difference between selling it sooner or not. Hope this helps.

Hey BT, After reading Michelle's thread about the car show... maybe you should try that too. Then add "Show Bike" to the Trains resume. May make it sell a little faster and get a little more face time with people that are into the faster things of life...
