I bought a 04 R1 today!
had to do it, I've been contemplating the idea
and almost did it when the prices dropped a little
last week, but didn't and then said ahh Fugg it.

a neighbor of mine who is a student, crashed his car this weekend and his parents are giving him the option to keep
his brand new bike (purchased 2/28) or help him get a new car.

bike has 747 miles on it, got it for a few thousand less than the dealer and didn't have to worry about fees and stuff.
also, nice of the guy to break in the bike for me :lol

sorry, I needed the best of both worlds, now I have it.
I haven't rolled it yet, but I took a nice ride up the canyon on it.


OF COURSE I STILL KEPT MY BUSA, THAT poop IS STILL KING IN THIS HOUSE.  I EVEN TOLD THE R1 THAT, WHEN I PARKED HER NEXT TO THE BUSA.

Ban him please!!  j/k

i own an r1 but am always on a busa site can't quite figure this out

ahh hell congrats on the new addition and welcome to the world of the only 1000 cc bike to own (although those zx-10's are ugly but pretty damn fast ) lata

We'll see how fast those ZX 10's are soon enough. My friend just got one and is talking alot of smak. After break in on both our bikes i'll have to show him what tourqe is all about!

The R1 just doesn't do it for my like the gixxer1k and ZX-10. Just a matter of different tastes I guess. Good thing we're not all the same though, huh? Congrats on the R1.

I'll try my best to get times........I rode it all day today,
trying to find someone with the GRAVES rear eliminator kit.
seems like all the parts for the 04 R1 are backordered for 2 weeks.

my riding partner got a new ZX 10 too, he has 90 miles on it.
i'm waiting for the weekend to see if I can find the right place
to roll both........ anyone got a good link to a trailer for 2 bikes?

I'm very torn though, the bike is exactly the opposite of what I
like about the BUSA so it's easy to keep both.
