I dumped my Busa today.

Busa's do that when you push em down, too heavy and not well balanced...I did the exact same thing last May on my Busa on the way to the track, but lost the bike and whacked out the left side.  Thats why now, I only do that shi-t on my 10R or R1.  Unlike the BIG BAD BUSA, they CAN go down to the ground and not break loose or start wobbling...Damn Busa still scares the crap outta me on those turns...hope I never have to find out again just how low she goes before she breaks loose!

Yeah. It was kind of dumb to begin with. My tires couldn't have been anywhere close to warm...sometimes I stop and ask myself (always after the fact, right?)...what the heck was I thinkin'?

My body is sore though. Just stiff, sore. When it stepped out and I instinctively went to put my foot down, my toes got drug under the peg and it wrenched my ankle. The toe of my boot is scuffed to heck and my ankle is really stiff. Can't even imagine...had I been squidly and wearing sandles...! I stopped by the scene on my way home, and you can see my black tire marks riding right up the darn curb. I thought I had been headed a little bit more straight on, but it looks like I took it at an angle, which probably why I didn't crash.

It sure is. I told my partner that my guardian angel probably was like, "Hey! I saved his a@@ on that low side, so if he still chooses to speed..."

Seriously, though, my sister is my guardian angel, and I'm sure she was involved.

Jason - the "I told my partner" comment scares me somehow. If you were active duty, I would tell you that this demonstrates propensity and to consider yourself counseled!

Actually, I'm glad you kept your cool and that both you and the scoot are okay. Like the others have said, could've been much worse.

At least I didn't meet the same trooper on Hwy-19 just south of those nice S-turns leaving your little town that day. That's a NICE straight, and I definitely would have gone to jail.

Glad you made it through. Last tank slapper I had I lost control and both my gf and I got bucked off the bike. Thats what I got for pushing the tires and doing hot cornering on a 1970 Beemer R75.
