I found 8 pounds of spare parts on my bike!

I wasn't even trying hard. The chain guard and the four side reflectors didn't even make it all the way home from the Suzuki dealer. The curb feelers and footpeg weights went away yesterday. The bar end weights are not missed at any speed. The rear fender was pruned back as far as it could be trimmed. Most of the tool kit is useless. The rear grab handle is keeping the other spare parts company in a growing pile. The rear turn signals are finally gone too. The bike actually handles better. 8 pounds is a difference that you can feel. I'll bet a Muzzy full titanium exhaust with a round titanium can would help also.

You could probably do without the instrument cluster and all the connecting wires too!

You forgot passenger pegs,use alum sprocket,
Pair vale and plumbing (need Plates?)
Get Carbon fiber mirrors.

I've done everything you and johnycheese described as well as the muzzy pipe and much more. Almost 40lbs lighter than stock and counting.
