I goofed last night!

We use a combination of dish soap and water for applying window tint...  in a spray bottle (12 ounces) just add 4 or 5 drops of dawn dish soap..

make sure your application area is spotless and the spray it with the solution

on the decal.. as you peel the backing, use the same solution and spray the adhesive side as you pull the backing.. this will keep any dirt from sticking.. (this all needs to be done on a spotless clean surface)  you can then take the wet decal, lay it on the wet fairing and move it around to where you want it..

After you are SURE of placement, use a rubber squeegee (body shop type works fine, not a window cleaner type) and squeege the water out from the center of the decal with light strokes...

IF in doubt about this go to a decal shop or a window tinter and have them do it...  will look good as new..
Thanks so much for the tips...

I'll post when I get it done...

Jeffrey: Thanks for the compliment, I'm humbled. You, on the other hand, are the consummate photographer, so I recommend...

Greenbean...that you wait until you see what Jeff can give you (imagery) before you set your heart in one direction or the other. I'm confident he'll hook you up with some mad stuff.

Ciao~

Keep in mind, the key word to that statement is "yet"

Hey...as long as you're a 'legend in your own time', I'm o.k. with that; otherwise, there's no rush.

Now that's some funny shizzle right there. Prophetic, yes, but funny!

Damn, I'm good.

So after scratching my head and looking at the bike from a small distance I figured I would remove the right side "extra" gray decals from the front and rear. Then see what I think. my friend with an R1 was tellng me dude go ahead and remove them now b/c your paint is new. if you don't like it put them back on. I like the gray stripe above the Kanji b/c is flows with the tank...

I am looking into a great local guy who does custom vinyl decals who comes highly recommeded by some folks at MR Honda...

I also will probably remove the front and rear silver "SUZUKI" stickers. I mean if you have to ask, I goota explain it anyway...
