I have decided to "pack it in"

Rubb,you know my take on it,you just have too much heart.
You spend a lot of time here and maybe you are just trying to do too much.Believe me,the people who like you waayyyy outweigh the ones who may not.

You know how I feel about this RSD...but if the org is affecting your health, or your recuperation, then it's not worth it. You have to take care of number one.

Bless you for your big heart. Not many people can even admit to caring about others, let alone put their heart on their sleeve. And I know how big-hearted people can start feeling used.

RSD you are a great man. You have overcome adversity and turned a lot of ugly issues around. I for one will be sorry to see you go. You have put your heart and soul into something you believe in and no one can take that away. Only you can make the choice to stay or go. You can choose to let this stuff consume you or you can choose to let it role on by. I hope you make the right choice for you. I don't believe for a minute you will be happy leaving and if that is the case F@ckem all and stay. Stand up for what you believe and enjoy your self doing it.

Well one thing I have learned in all my years of volunteering for schools in the area. If you put too much effort and time into anything it goes unappreciated. What seems to make people happier is just stopping by to say hi and mindless task assistance. (I guess its an equalizer.)

Far more people out there do the minimum and expect to be exhaulted in fame whilst the hard at work folks are held in eternal service hell. So I understand your predicament.

Thanks for all you have done. For one you take some heat off of some of us other a$$holes by being a bigger one! Ha..

Seriously you have made a great contribution to the board, your time. That is so valuable and many will never understand the sacrifice you have made. Work on getting healed up. You will continue to improve but it may not be as quick to come as all of us would hope.

The board was hurt by cache very much both in spirit and financially. I feel that Doug’s love and desire to keep it going would have pulled it through. However you helped get it get it on the path to recovery and speeded the process immensely. For that we all owe you.

Don’t just disappear off the horizon, you need to stop in say something controversial every 30 days or so!

I am frustrated that you've got 99% of the members behind you and you always, always, always let the 1% push you over the edge...you know that most here respect you, back you, and appreciate all that you do here Andy.  YOU KNOW THIS, yet you let the one guy that just said the wrong thing at the wrong time rip the board apart.  I definitely think you need a break; it's not what we all want, but I think it's what you need...you have plenty going on in the real world Andy; many of us know this and my hope is that you find the even ground in your life in the future and can be a member of our little world here when you're ready.  I'm not going to talk you in to or out of anything; it's your life and you need to worry about yourself and yourself only...it's draining to have all the issues that pop up here AND the ongoing rehab in your own life...

So, with that, I offer my apologies for voicing my opinion behind the scenes and for undoing your recent bannings.  I still don't agree with your methods, but hey, I should have stuck with my original plan of never undoing what another mod or admin does.  I just get sick of being in the middle once they realize they've been banned and they're contacting me for help and understanding over what went wrong.  I too have a life outside of the org and this is the last thing I needed this week...

All the loose ends are in my hands now, so give me time to weed through the mess...thanks...
 
Let's blame me, since I started the stickies thing. Everyone should be able to notice that over the years my primary objective is to piss off an many people as I can and make them leave. Nothing makes me feel more powerful that taking down a mod. MAN, what a great feeling... Internet Power! YEAH BABY!

Andy, in short, the general concensus here is we hope you are not leaving because of a few azzhats, that's not the Rub way out, but because you need to take some time off to take care of yourself.  Which is perfectly understandable.

And when, if, you feel you have the capacity to come back to the Org. on a full time or even part time basis you know you have an open invitation.

Guess I'm out of the loop as I'm not sure what has really happened.  I will say that in the 3 years or so I've been a part of the org, I've seen significant growth you bro.  There was a time when I didn't care very much for your posts, but in the last 2 years I've come to appreciate your openess and sincerety.  It's greatly appreciated on my end and I pray you continue to grow and be a part of the org.  Remember regardless of how it may seem, God loves you.

I respect your decision, Andy. Although I and 99% of the members would hope you'd reconsider. You have the support of a substantial amount of members here... which is a difficult task on most forums and speaks volumes about the type of person you are and your brand of leadership.

I could see from the sidelines that this weekend's fundraisers were difficult at best. You put a lot of hard work into those auctions only to get dumped on - probably at the wrong moment - while most of us sat on the sidelines watching and thought "Wow", he's pulling this together. Thank you!

I am not one to type long opinionated reasons why your should stay.

Health is the most important thing, take care of yourself 1st and foremost.

Me thinks you just need a break. There are pleanty of Mods here to help keep the peace. Spread the duties and continue to be a asett of this great board.

Yeah I know I stir the pot with the best of them and I am sure you have had the finger above the ban button for my account a few times.

Bro take some time just for Rubb and the mouse and it will do ya some good!
