Thank you all for the welcome. I guess I didn't hit "track" on the post so I wan't getting notification. I've been several years in the cruiser world... When I got over VTwins, I bought a Valkyrie and it's been my main ride. I had a leftover "bobber" suzi 1400 (see www.mikeonbike.com) that I just sold (and a few old standup jet ski's) to get the $$$ for the busa.
The bike: I guess it's a 200mph bike... pwr cmd, fmh pipe set, & g-l-h! I'm still ridin' in the < 7k range so I haven't been "experienced" yet. But, what a bike, it's fast even riding conservatively. I'm still trying to figure out insurance (uninsured mtr, liability, comp...) so until I do, I'll be buying a lock today.
Do these engines normally Lope? This bike seems to lope a little at idle (900 - 1000 rpm) it sounds (and runs) fine, but I'm just not familiar with inlines.
I'm going to drop it a few inches (2?) I'm trying to decide on the 1" front "riser kit" or an actual TT top. I have some turnbuckles for the rear. Next on tap would probably be a euro tail.
Overall, what a rip to ride. Going to daytona tomorrow morning. Now here's the dilemma... Ride with my cruiser buddies or twist & grin?
I here that Nova road is the place to be for parts & folks.
