i just did the unevitable...

so i came home from a nice ride after work, nothing big just a quick cruise on some country roads.... when i got home i parked the bike and opened the hump up and set it on the seat to pull my wallet out. at the same time my girls step dad was talking to me and distracting me. all the sudden i hear the thud of my hump hitting the hard floor.... i about cried! i try so hard to keep my bike sportless on a daily basis and now i have deep gouges throughout the hump. i wanna beat myself.. im so irritated i did something so stupid. i know most of you wouldnt be bothered by something like this, but damn it makes me mad. :headache:

If you wanted to keep you bike sportless why did you get a Busa?! Just messing with ya man! If it makes you feel any better, mine came off at about 75mph when I forgot to secure it before leaving a restaurant on a weekend ride! Needless to say it was pretty banged up but suprisingly didn't crack, had to get it sanded and painted.

yes true. she knows to not touch unless i am within arms reach of anything because im so anal... at least she loves the bike as much as i do, or at least knows the pride behind it. could have been way worse than what it was but still bugs me.. and yes this was the first insident with my bike so its kinda pitiful to say the least

i need one too, for a black '07- mine was dropped and i nearly cried as well. On top of it, the cheap paint (from buying it aftermarket, chebay) started to peel off.
