I think I have a clutch problem?

I am unable to get my bike to shift into first gear. I have dona a little work on the shifting fork, but i am pretty sure I put it all back together correctly. Any Suggestions?

Spoke with MR Brown on the phone,

Just let me say, What a really nice guy!! Top notch!

Anyway, when I start her up in neutral on the stand my real wheel begins to turn! Very good for oiling the chain, I guess! LOL

Only about 1" of play in the cush drive area.

Fluid is like the color of tea, so will bleed system. Also I think I will change out the clutch. Mr Brown went over in depth about this procedure and actually seems very easy.

Will update when done.

Thanks everyone for the input!

Good Luck in finding your root cause

If everything is greased and smooth it's common for the rear wheel to turn gently whilst in neutral with the engine running on most bikes (when supported on a stand). Nothing to be concerned about.

Just as an aside, I wouldn't advocate cleaning/lubricating the chain whilst the engine is running - in gear or not.. Many have lived to regret it.
