I thought I was done !

Damn that was fast. Glad you’re ok

I’d buy it if u were closer, insurance will total it out but it’s the perfect candidate for a long swingarm and a sidewinder.

All that damage is fixable. If you have the time and you can buy parts for less than the insurance payout minus buying the bike back, that might be the way to go. Just a quick guess but maybe 4-5k in parts? I doubt it would be more than that.

Looking at the pic, it's going to be 2k for fairings. You need a new wheel, new tail frame, new lights, maybe new ECU. Possibly new rear suspension parts.

Sorry about the wrecked bike. I'm happy your luck held out for the injuries. Not too bad for getting rear ended at 50 mph. Not bad at all. Yeah, that "never gonna happen to me" idea sets in after a number of years without a crash. The way I see it, the longer you go without crashing, the more likely it is to be waiting just around the corner. I rode 14 years without a crash. I was careful, knew the risks and took measures to avoid them. Then one day, it got me just like I had no awareness of the danger at all. We're all playing the odds out on our bikes. If you see the same close call happen a couple times, it's a safe bet that is the one will get you if you don't change your game somehow. Of course, there are freak accidents that come out of nowhere too and some riders that never crash in their whole life. I just don't count on that being me anymore.
