I was scolded today

I stopped in the local pharmacy for the drugs. I am in the checkout line and a woman looks at me and says isn`t it hot in that jacket? I un zip the mesh jacket and hold up my arms. She says oh, that makes a difference. I said we all make choices in life, I ride. Sometimes it is hot and I decide to ride. That is choice. She smiled. Then said, my husband "had" a Harley. I asked if he rides when it is hot? She said, "I" made him sell it. I laughed out "LOUD". Bob went out the door.:rofl:

Give me a break  , they were on Mopeds (of all things, not even real scooters) riding in the Country  . That says Volumes about their thought paths ??? . Kinda like people at Universities asking me why anyone smart enough to get a PHD would make a career out of the Military  .

Dumb :lala: is as Dumb Does :lala:

I have always found that the people who complain about gear are the ones who have never been down, nor do they know anyone in their lives who have ever been down. So they litterally do not know the consequences of riding with out it!!

Having been in a low speed (about 30 mph) wreck, I can say from experience that the "slow down" comment is pure stupidity. At 30 mph I cracked my Shoei and was very glad I had all of my gear on...and I landed on grass.

Drag your skin across asphalt at 15 mph and see how good that feels.

i just tell them its airconditioned or i agree with them that its to hot to be wearing all this gear depending on my mood. I have generally found that if someone isn't not paying me or sleeping with me their opinion doesn't really matter all that much
