IF YOU USE PAYPAL!!!

a new paypal member alerted me that 6 days after he donated via Paypal, he received an erronious charge of $250.00

If you ever get an email from paypal that states "YOUR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN SUSPENDED" or anything to that effect and requires you to login and fix your problem... IT IS NOT PAYPAL!!!! Do not click on the link!

this is a danger online....i keep all "financial" type stuff on a separate email account...one that i don't use for anything else....and i get all kinds of ebay and paypal crap on my "everyday" account...no doubt it is fake....

Never even opened those emails, I knew they were BS, so I just deleted them. I had already read that paypal does not contact you in this way.

If you get an email from ebay or paypal saying something is wrong with your account imediately forward the complete email to spoof@ebay.com or spoof@paypal.com for paypal. you will get a email from ebay or paypal right away and they will usually tell you it is a scam and not to click on the link.

Hi, I had a same kind of mail from someone, time to time, so I called paypal customer serv. reps. to find out, what's wrong with my account? He told me we are working on some investigations about the fraud mailer now, so do not aply to any of those mail. And I ask'em "How do I know, its your people or not? Then he said "Our mail starts with your first name or full name, and we'll never ask any bodies password or to log in for any reason...So, if you received any mail like that, you'll know what to do now...

the dead give away is when mail is addressed to "Paypal User"

they know my name, any time it's been something real from PayPal, it's been addressed to me by name, not some annon bulk mail bull.

if you ever have a question is something is real, forward it to Spoof@paypal.com and they will let you know (usually same day) if it's real or not.

OH and NEVER EVER USE THE LINK IN THE EMAIL, always go to www.paypal.com..... The link is a site run by the scammer that looks exactly like the paypal site. When you log in on the look alike site, you give the scammer your account name and password.... the rest of the scamail is just to get you to long in through their fake site.

I'm sure they look/sound like a dumbazz after they try and make a purchase with the info I gave!

I have received all of the above as well as emails stating "Your new email address "XXXXXXX" has been applied to your account please click here to confirm" DO NOT CLICK or reply to these emails. Scams suck.

Thats what pisses me off, I got burned for 1k, and after I realized i was got, I was more mad at myself for gettin grifted like that. The greatest wonder of the internet is being able to conduct what ever you need, from the comfort of wherever USA. But wait, here come the filthy maggot spit of scammers to take your hard earned cash, 1,2,3, that easy. I work within the law and I have told certain law makers about this thing, and the laws are getting tougher and harsher on scammers. 2nd and 3rd degree indictments, but the problem is that they are hard to catch. They work in dark, filthy basements and rooming houses, and move quickly after they reap their quotas. The best advise I recieved, was from an buddy of mine who is a Fed. Type in the URL and never ever use Links.

There is also PC software out there that identifies, spoof pages and redirects.

Good luck to everyone!!
