Illinois State police must release names!!!!

I can see the burglars planning now.... A map full of plotted points of houses with residents not on the gun list. But I guess those criminals better hope they are lucky and dont go into a house loaded with illegally possessed firearms

I believe that to be unconstitutional and I don't see it ever happening.
First thing the Nazis did when they took over was gather list of gun owners and round them up!

I wonder how many people have moved to Illinois and did not register that they own a weapon? I'd certainly be one of them.

Scenario time:
1) Someone breaks into my house. I have no weapon. They don't want witnesses, shoot me, I die.

2) Someone breaks into my house, I shoot them. They die. I didn't have the weapon registered with the state. I go to jail and lose everything.

I don't like either scenario. I'm never moving to Illinois.

I live in illinois and own a registered gun. If you buy a weapon it should be registered( its the law). It is a tough state in regards to owning and carry of firearms. It sucks buts hopefully our gun laws will change soon so we can express our rights.

Our problem is that all these politicians are from Chicago, and subscribe to the Chicago way.

One of the two states you cannot concealed carry, soon to be the only one:rulez:

Hummmmmmmmmmmmm  , so THAT'S why the grass grows greener over the septic tank

The Nazi reference does not work.....because the State already has a list of registered gun owners. This just says that they must release it for public knowledge.

They did this in Tennessee about 10 years ago - the local liberal paper PRINTED THEM ALL....

having a FOID (Firearm Owner's Identification) card does not mean that we necessarily have a gun and any that we might have are not linked to it...it is just a card that we have to apply for and carry so we can have our background's checked and legally be in possession of weapons and/or ammunition...i think the ones who should be worried about this the most are those without a card since it could potentially make them targets...now, if they start talking about printing my name along with a list of the actual weapons i own, that would be a different story!!!

They did that here a while back, until the news actually reported it also and all of a sudden they realize the names of Judges, Police, etc, etc, along with addresses and personal info was just released to anyone and everyone who did or didn't care.

They put a stop to it real quick~!~
