I'm back, and going Gen 2

Ok, so tomorrow im hitting my local shop to aquire either a k11 or a k12 Hayabusa. Have a few questions in regards to some of the changes that I made on my Gen 1 and hope for some help. I have spent the last hour reading over many of the things I will ask here and am just looking for some specific answers that Im tired of researching on...

1st Question, does the trick of using buel foot pegs to lower your leg position still work on the gen 2's like it did with the 1st gens?
2nd Question, is the stock windscreen still a visual hinderence to riders 6'1" and above, if so is the double bubble still a popular replacement?
3rd Question, Exhaust - everyone seems to be going with the Brock's Alien heads for performance...I dont like the shorty look or the volume of the pipes, I want to go 4 into 1 but would like it to remain at a more reasonable volume while getting some performance increase for adding the full system, recommendations?
4th Question, Pair Valve Block Off's are they still popping after swapping pipes out like the Gen 1's, is it the same fix just getting some covers?
5th Question, Air Filter, stock still running better than K&N's?

Thats about it for now, give me a week or two to get my 2k miles of break in riding done and Ill be sure to have some more..

Good to be back...

Yes it does.

Highly recommend the double bubble so you can fully see your gauges, I am 5'11" and it helped me.

There are many companies that make good full systems, attend a meet/greet to listen to different brands before you buy one. I would also tune it via ecu if you go with a full system. Not required for slip ons.

4th Question, Pair Valve Block Off's are they still popping after swapping pipes out like the Gen 1's, is it the same fix just getting some covers?
Unsure on this one, others will chime in soon.

5th Question, Air Filter, stock still running better than K&N's?
I believe so.

You will love the Gen II.

Forgot to mention on the exhaust side - When I install the full system Ill be installing a PCV and taking it to Smithers Customs in Kansas for some Dyno time to get it dialed in.

If you are going to do that, talk to Steve before you buy the PCV, I bet he will recommend reflashing the ecu. You will have a few options on the reflash you wont get with the PCV, and dont quote me, but I think it will be cheaper also.

He had mentioned about flashing the ECU as well, I was going with the PCV for the air shifter and speedohealer add ons that are direct plug ins...assuming like on the Gen 1 these are still available.

Welcome back :beerchug:

You'll love the new bike. Need pix after you get her. If you choose to.. aftermarket airfilter before the tune. It's a chunk of $$ right after you buy it, but knock it out of the park. Let us know what she throws down and what ECU flash you choose.

Brocks makes other pipes that perform well. Check out the CTS system. Pair Valve is different on the Gen II. I think it can be disabled through ECU editing. I would GPS the bike before getting a speedohealer. My '08 is dead on at 70 MPH. Talk to your tuner about needing a PC. So much can be done with the ECU and unlike the Gen I this bike has secondaries and the PCV only has 4 outputs from my understanding. The Bazzaz unit has 8, but using the ECU is the best route to go in my mind, but talk to your tuner.

Its funny you mention GPS checking the speedo, thats how I calibrated my 05...then I left the GPS on the bike forever after...a new GPS will probably be the first thing I install on the new Busa...

I really like my Yoshiumra R-77 4-2-1. It's not obnoxiously loud and made some decent numbers on the dyno.

Welcome Back , Talk to Steve & see what he says about Ti-Force Full 4into 1 system . Steve took my 08 & put on a PCV & Flashed my ECU, He also took care of any popping on decel. I ran a BMC Race Filter . He dynoed my Busa and it put out 194.65Hp & 111.38 Lbs torque (STD) & 190.16Hp & 104.77Lbs Torque(SAE). Here are a couple of pics with the Ti-Force. Buell peg mod is a must , I chose the Puig Racing screen & it seemed to work well.

Thanks Ninja killer, the pipe looks good on there...I know what ever route I end up going that Steve will take good care of me...we are pretty lucky having someone with his skills and experience with Hayabusa's so close to home...

Anytime Bro , Steve knows his stuff when it comes to Busa's .

I'm happy with my Brocks CT Single Ti. Biggest thing was weight loss, each stock pipe weighed ~9lb and the manifold / cat was 18lb, total weight of around 36lb. The Brocks is ~8lb all in all, way easier than losing 28lb off my fat butt. Sound isn't too loud IMO and I'm even starting to get old.

Weird angle but best shot that I have of the CT Single on my bike.

Closed the deal on a Black with Red Kanji 2k11 today, pick her up on Friday. She is still in her crate, the shop should begin unpacking her tomorrow...

Cannot wait to see her...
