I'm definitely gonna need tires soon

So I have my bike in the living room, and since im out of work, i had nothing to do, so i decided to clean the bike up really thoroughly. After looking at the tires, I most DEFINITELY need some new tires for this coming riding season.

Now, here's my dilemma: I dont have a lot of money (obviously - im out of work) but wont skimp on the only thing in contact with the road when im riding. I dont do a lot of twisties, because, well, we just dont have many in northern Indiana. I don't ride in the rain either. Just looking for an all-around decent tire that I dont have to spend an arm and a leg for. I dont need pilot CT2s or Pirelli Angels or anything like that. I have looked at the Avon Storms and wonder how those stack up price wise, of if there would be anything else that someone (like sponsors here) would have that would suit my needs. I can't buy them now, even though I wish i could. If someone could give me some input, it sure would be nice to have for when i DO have some money, finally.

Thanks in advance, all.

I have a NEW set of Shinko 005's send to you for $240.00 shipped tyd. I'm ordering a set of Angels or Avons here soon.

I LOVE my Qualifiers !!

I too, but they are NOT a long distance tire and they are really not going to fit the use he has described (few if any twisites, needs long mileage, low buck) So 3 strikes you are out.. :)

I have a few tires with the sides worn out and decent tread in the middle but they are not going to go that far either (too soft) I have been selling them to the local parking lot posers for $50 ($75 with tire buggers still in place)

Might get 1000 miles out of one?

anyway, I would bet this would be a good place for the Shinko.. Doesn't Todd run one? he gets pretty good mileage out of his..
