And welcome aboard.............

Being new to the Busa, which I bought used with 3700 miles on it.  I have a question, how much free play or slop should there be in the sprocket to wheel movement. Mine feels like it is excessive to me. With the bike on the kickstand I can move my sprocket and chain about 1/4 in back and forth . My Yamaha which has more miles on it has no play what so ever.  Sprocket dampners in the hub worn out already?.

you mean chain slack? about 25 to 35mm if i remember right your cush drive could be sloppy to its good to change the cush out every 5000 or so mine was toast at 7000 the rear sprocket will move around and you can feel slope when you let the clutch out....

Thats what I suspected just didnt know the right terminology. Not surprising at all it is gone,I cant get over how wrist happy this bike makes me and I am 50 years old and been around bikes for most of that, I cant seem to hook it all up. I assume the Cush Drive is a dealer replacement item.
