I'm so close I can taste it

I am about $100 away from my new (to me) busa.
She's an 04, with 20k on the clock, a few small scratches and one apparent puncture on the left fairing and it may need a new rear sprocket and chain...

For 3000. :)

Damn, do I love close friends.

Anyway, if I post pictures of the sprocket, can you tell me if it needs to be replaced?
I did a decently thorough check, and it looked like all the teeth on it were fine.

You want advice? Well, most assuredly, you've come to the right place!

Well, where are the pix?

Just making sure here, but I'm coming from a 600, which put down about 90hp. If I'm gentle with the throttle this is a manageable bike, right?

take your time and learn the bike and it's capabilities. you'll be fine.

Absolute respect for the throttle is imperative. Remember this, practice it, and you will enjoy that bike for many years.

Be smart. Ride safe, ride sane, keep the shiney side up, don't scratch the paint, and FGS...stick around awhile.

Congrats again.

Tick tock tick tock tick tock...that's the sound of the clock I hear as I'm waiting pix of this so-called 'sprocket'.

Ok... to hell with it. I'll just replace it anyway. After talking to him, he really does seem concerned about it going. Does anyone have a spare stock sprocket that they can sell me?

Better yet, I'll give you one for free. PM me your address.

3K for a Busa? Just buy a new sprocket and chain if you question it. I definitely would not pass up the free offer from GMbusa!

If I was a Franklin away from a new bike I'd be selling dump crap on Ebay, collecting cans, mowing old ladies lawns, open a 5 dollar car wash in my front yard, anything to get the rest of the money up.
