I used to be fit. Gotta get back to that ASAP. You can all laugh, but I am ordering this Beach Body P90X DVD daily workout system. If I spend money, I'll be inspired to USE it, unlike all the free crap I got from the library. I'm ready to dedicate an hour a day when I first wake up, to building a decent looking body and removing a gut. Soon I will be able to kick sand in the comicbook guys face and take his girlfriend. What an admiral goal, huh?

Being a manger sucks, cuz now my workers to the ACTUAL work and I workout my fingers on stupid spreadsheets while sitting on my bum all freaking day.

Anyone ever mess with the beach body P90X or heard bad or good about it?

Just don't go for the bodybuilder look.

Go for it. All you can do is feel better and live longer. Make sur to take some befoer pics for yourself. It can help with motivation. Is there a reunion coming up?

Gawd, I used to be ripped. The desk job was the worst thing that ever happened to my health. Dude, I'll get into it with you on Monday morning.

Promise. I have to get my circulation going first, though so at least three weeks of walking first before I get to the isometrics. I get pretty ripped when pumping iron but I better not start off with that or I"ll blow a vein in my chest or something!

I'm not starting until the crap I orderd shows up. Probably be a couple weeks. But perhaps I should do the walking part you mention to build up to it. I'm a scrawny guy that may never be ripped, but I can improve over this crappy stagnation gut thing going on. I guess I gotta buy some gear too, a chin up bar, some weights, etc. I know nothing. but it sounds like fun. We'll see how well their 90 day thing really is.

and no i have no interest having huge muscles with veins popping out all over the place, Alien like, just toned and healthy looking... and maybe a solid 6 pack

and about the women not liking muscles... ok. that's like saying size dont matter. or men notice ear lobes first. HA. They can say what they want to not feel superfical in a POLL, but but body language and drool say differently.

But I am doing this for me. No girl. MY idea. What I want. Hot chicks hanging on my bulging biceps is just a side affect I'lll have to deal with when it comes to that

I cant wait to get back to the gym. I haven't been since I hurt my back. Gonna start going again after my surgery

I wouldn't even worry about becoming "ripped." You have to do steroids to become ripped, no joke. It ain't possible to get that look unless you do the juice.

And if size matters in other regions, don't do the juice!

There are a rare few who have the genetics to get a quasi-ripped look without juicing but they are few and far between. I'm one of those guys but I'm a lazy-azz fugger and I don't get out and work my body like I should.

Still, if you work the iron, you're body will take on a hardness and a solidity which is VERY attractive to the babes! When a woman feels a rock hard shoulder or ab under your clothes, it's an almost instant turn-on for her. Spend some time on the dance floor and you'll know what I mean!

You need both the iron and the cardio. The cardio reduces yoru blood pressure over time and the iron increases it. If you press too much iron too fast and too soon, you can raise your blood pressure to dangerous levels. That's why the cardio is so important. I suspect my BP is a little high right now which is why I need to take a few weeks to do the cardio first and get it to normal.

Then it's a doctor visit to have it checked and I'll do iso's for three or four more weeks and then think about hitting the iron again.

Muscle burns fat. You can't go wrong with the iron!

P.S. Sitting here typing, I would have guessed I weigh 260 but I checked and it's 257. For me, 220 is ideal, 230 if I get to the point of being ripped again.
