Installed new 1" bar risers (a breeze!)

I have the same type of risers. I think I did 3/4". Nice pictures and thanks for the grip information.....

sweet thanks, going to see if trusty ace hardware has them.. trying to get my risers done today for my 2400 mile ride starting tomorrow.

I went to ace and pieced a kit together myself for 27 bucks and it raised it 3/4...I then ordered the 1 inch off ebay 4 just under 20 bucs 2 my door. I promptly switched the stuff out and got my money back from ace:laugh:

Just checking will you loose the agility at high speed corners?

I know its much more comfortable for straight roads, since its higher

soupy's makes them

Hyabusa Front Lowering Kit, Hyabusa Handlebar Risers, Hyabusa Comfort

i have them on my genII as well as heli-bars

For those who want to spend a little extra coin, this version from Soupys is a lot nicer looking, but still half the price of the Helibars. I also like how this design supports the entire handlebar "triple tree" instead of just at the bolt points.
Hayabusa Front Lowering Kit, Hayabusa Handlebar Risers, Hayabusa Comfort

I used to have the more expensive GenMar riser of this same basic design. It was much more comfortable than stock, still good handling. The Helibars are definitely better, but I don't think I'd pay extra for them if cash were a problem. This type of riser is almost as good for comfort.

No, my 08 has .75" risers and heli-bars and it handles curves great. It's just as easy to steer or drag a knee as before, it's just more comfortable. That's just my opinion too, I'm considering the Speigler top clamp and dirtbike style bars.

I have the helis and a 1 inch Genmar riser.

Excellent.

Makes it the bike Suzuki should have built.

My Dad made my risers on the lathe(otherwise they're around $20...the whole riser spacer shown above by Ajay is about $120), the heli-bars were $208. The gen1 and 2 are basically the same when it comes to this mod, even though the parts won't interchange.
The heli-bars not only make the bars a little higher and closer to you, but they have a different angle than stock. The outside ends of the heli-bars are higher up.
Personally I think it's a great improvement in comfort and well worth the money, but that's just me. There is now a much better riding position for me with less pressure on my wrists and lower back, as well as great handling.:beerchug:

The Soupy's risers I showed are $96. Soupy's also sells the spacer kit for $20, as someone else pointed out.

And no disagreement that the Helibars are the best for comfort.

Soupy sells them and garrentees everything . He's a sponcer on the board , I painted mine before puttting them on .
