well, i pay 558 per year full coverage with state farm. i also have med's. (most of you may not be aware that this doesn NOT come with most motorcycle policies, it has to be added and costs more). i have a clean driving record, and have my deductables at 50 bucks. this is the second bike on my policy and i have two cars, homeowners, and an umbrella policy through them. i feel this is not a bad rate for what i'm driving. it's only a few dollars more than my other gixxer.
not sure if this helps but, thought i'd let you know.
oh, and CISCO, he is 20 after all. that'll make a BIG difference. i'm quite frankly surprised that he even found someone to insure him for this bike. you can thank suzuki for naming it a gsx instead of gsxr.

I was quoted from state farm (where my car is insured) the lovely price of $564 every six months. I told the dealer when I was going to look at the Busa, and they said someone was jerking my chain. I currently pay a whopping $300 a YEAR for my Kat, so I believed it...Is anyone else familiar with State Farms Great insurance rates or was the dealer right?

Sorry for posting the same topic again I didn't see it. BTW, I am 20 Years old with no points on my licence. It read through everyone elses, pretty good rates, can't wait till I am older.

I'd get rid of State Farm Car insurance find a new insurance company for the car unless you have to good a rate now from the Farm.I would search around until you get the rates you can afford for your motorcycle.Where's your Kawi get insured from?If same insurance company then someone just added his bonus money to the policy.Buyer beware.Try McGraw insurance.Later,Good Luck

FYI I live in North Dakota and am 27, the lowest rate I could get was $1040/year with a company called Dairyland. Honestly it's the best I could do. My uncle is an ins. agent.

I have state farm

$590 every 6mo for full coverate
$300 every 6mo for liability & comp.
$75 a year for liability

Progressive quoted me 1800 a year !!!
I had my 92 GSXR1100 with them too.

comp for me is 164 per 6 months and full coverage with 500 deductible is 340 in NC...I have 25 years driving experience...this is with state farm. With state farm they go on engine size not whether it is a sportbike or cruiser so agent said...wouldn`t that suck to pay this kind of rate for a chopper.

State Farm provides me full coverage with a $500 deductible for $293 a year. I am 35 years old and have two cars with them and a house policy. Oh Yeah, my wife has a SV650 insured with them also--another great Suzook Bike.

I hate to jump in on this, but I've got a great rate through Dairyland Insurance of around $435/yr, yes a full year. Of course, I'm an old guy of 45 no wrecks, points and I own a 1500 Intruder so I got multi-bike and year discounts. I did look around to State Farm and Allstate, but was looking at several hundred a year for basic coverage.

i am 19 with 1 ticket i was doing 70 in a 45 and i have state farm it is just over $700 a year full coverage with $50 deductables i also have 1 car with them.

What the hell are you American guys complaining about. For a 32-year-old to insure a Hayabusa in the UK, with three years no claims bonuses, he must first fork out for an approved alarm/immobiliser, ensure it is locked in a garage and then pay around £750 (roughly $1200). And don't forget we paid close to £8000 ($12,800) to put it on the road in the first place!

DC, wait another 10 years and get fully comp for £305 ($490) per year with full NCB (60%) and only one minor speeding offence.
AH the joys of being an old bugger.........
