Is blue eye shadow for real? ?

I don't get out much. Is blue eye shadow normal these days? Always thought it was mostly the trash look, but maybe I'm behind the times? Here's a pic from some local event. Didn't Mimi on the Drew Carey show have blue eye shadow on for a reason? Wake me up here. No wonder I rarely date locally if THIS is the pickins'

but the second, the eyeshadow is not going to make a whole lot of difference.

Blue is my favorite color, but Mimi is not.

I think the eyes themselves are what to look for, not the eyelids.
But there is something wrong with blue for sure.
