Thanks everybody for the insight but I currently owe $9500 on her so going anywhere under $8000 isn't really, I guess, smart? So thanks again for letting me know how screwed I am for now! lol

Be patient economy is messed up a lot of people losing jobs and have no money for toys atm and people go bike hunting before the summer I think thats the hold up. It's a sweet ride.

Not to mention not to many people walking around with $8k..anything over 5k most go to the dealer for new or used..

when the new 08s came out the value of first gen dropped alot!!

You could also part it out!!Ive parted plenty of nice busas out..you get a good amount in the end,but the work of taking it apart,listing,shipping,boxing the stuff gets a .little crazy..but most people need something for there bike,maybe not a whole bike!!

Its time to keep it or take a loss..

It could be cleaned a little more and adding the rear hump would make it look more manly. It's a nice Busa, your not going to get KBB top value though. You could get 7-7500 if your lucky. The market sucks hard right now, and no one is buying...

I sold my 06 with 3800 miles last November for $8K. I thought that was a fair price. Plus yours has a funky lower on one side. That in itself lowers the price of the bike. I'd drop the price to $7500 if I was serious about selling. Especially this time of year. Not to many folks buying bikes in IL this time of year.

Consider all your options. Cost of keeping it until spring, insurance, payments, interest, etc. Then make a decision.

That sounds like a good idea Rocketman, pretty sure that's allowed so Ill try it.

by March Ill owe what you guys are saying it's most likely worth so waiting may just be the best option, get my use out of it for now and then sell in March.

Ive been trying to sell the Busa for a while and have it listed right now in the CLassifieds section.. 2006 Limited Busa - Hayabusa Classifieds

Listed as 'Best Offer'. Also on Craigslist here in Chicago.. Any ideas why it hasn't sold yet?? I know there's no sticker on the left side but jeez that can't be holding up all the offers... ANy suggestions????

The same reason most things don't sell...your asking more than the market will support...and you're trying to sell in the fall :: The only time folks have trouble selling items is when they want more than its worth market wise, and/or timing and economy is wrong.
