Is The Gen 3 Coming ?

I frankly would be pretty shocked if Suzuki didn't offer something new (other than BNGs) next year. I keep participating in this debate because it runs up posts (lol) and because I would hope Suzuki reads this and is hearing some of the ideas about what people want. Probably a long shot. The US is a pretty small market and the Busa faithful even smaller. Hopefully we'll see soon.

I really am not interested in a Gen 3, I am on a liter bike now and am planning a return to a Busa. As for more power, I think I will send my next Busa to Powerhouse, not interested in all the fancy new electronics. If a Gen 3 comes it should make some awesome deals on some new/old stock about the time I will be ready to purchase.

IMHO the so called Busa old technology still holds its own! I think its a bit premature to guess the specs on the third Gen. To be honest what if Suzuki drops the Hypersport line or Hayabusa period? You never know? what if there is something better?

Not looking like there is going to be a 3rd gen :(
Come on Viper , not you as well bro  ! We are going to get some news soonish , and I don't reakon those Suzuki marketers are cashing out of one of Suzuki's epic cult lineage just yet . Maybe some new revolutionary approach , involving aspiration or smaller cc as discussed , but imo , an increase in cc and really what Arch wrote ( one of his last posts ) on this subject . Hang in there Busa clan , the next installment will potentially re-ignite the Busa legend and the masses gonna love it !!!:D

Hell , just read the horrid EU announcement , if that is the case ... Viper , your statement is true bro !!! Think I'm going to go down to my Busa's stable , with Dogboy and have a little cry ....:banghead:

What I got from that is that Suzuki has reached the end of the BNG road, as the current bike isn't Euro 4 compliant. That doesn't mean there won't be an entirely new Busa. For example the say the Pinagale is bead but we know there is a new V4 version already on sale.

Thank you Arch , the voice of reason , and calm analysis ! Sometimes someone's got to spell it out for me ... my brain operates mostly on the largest remaining area of my brain , the stem !! Too many head knocks and artificial stimulants in my younger years , me thinks !!:p

The debate continues...

...will there be another Busa?

An hypersport machine that can out do what the current Gens have done for so many years is extremely difficult to create. How do the engineers make a Busa with more power and not duplicate all of the technology that is already on bikes today? How will they keep the front-wheel on the ground? Will it simply be faster from 0 to 300kph? There are too many factors to consider and question. Especially since the market for the Busa recently reached one of the world's most populated areas. Eastern Asia. Although you think that sales have tapered off in your area, it just started to pick up in India. An area where the most common form of transportation has two wheels. It could be a few more years before the inventory is cleared and they run out of colors to change. For now, put one in you garage and keep bragging about how you old and heavy beast can still hang with all of those lighter, more powerful, technology packed, rider's aided bikes.

My old mate (2 Busa's) from Northern Territory Australia , has recently ear bashed me about the Gen 3 being aimed at competing against the H2 Kawasaki . So , Gen 3 will be a smaller capacity turbo charged power plant and will be a world beater once again , with the most HP and top speed and everything including chassis all new !!:poke:

Hmm, I hadn't thought of SuzyInc downsizing the Busa line, essentially eliminating it from the larger displacement Hyper Sports Touring machine category. Would this just be another liter bike, shorter/lighter frame with different ergos and a turbo? Just hang the Hayabusa name on it? Well, F1 cars, arguably the most advanced racing cars on the planet have certainly seen a variety of engine and chassis developments over the years and are continuing to beat their previous efforts in speed, handling, aerodynamics and tire development so...I guess it (could) happen but IMO the market for such a bike wouldn't even match the sales figures on the current Hayabusa line. Not in the best $$ interests of SuzyInc.

That’s what I’ve been doing. Post once and then go to home page and back to the thread and my post shows.
This seems to be the $30000 question?is it ?will it ? When will it?,I looked on the motorcycle news site and it seems although there is talk of a 2019 release date for the generation 3 hayabusa they're short on detail and Looks, this appears to be the most likely picture of it. Or is it?
