(usn04limited @ Oct. 31 2006,18:37) Ok,
I need some help understanding this.  I am not the smartest guy I know but I am not totally mechanically inept either.

If this is a 2nd gear issue, how can a gear slip, loaded, only once and not continue to slip?  Why does it do it at exactly the same rpm?

Don
if you continue to ride and duplicate the slip it will start to happen more frequently and at a lower rpm i had the stealer do mine they sent trans to r and d in fla total cost drive in drive out 1500 dollars transmision hasnt skipped a beat since , in fact it feels better than ever

i was quoted from suzuki 2600 dollars for an oem rebuild , but that wouldve given me the same trans i just broke , didnt make any sense to me !

motorhead quoted me 800 drive in drive out same day , i could hang out and watch hes in ohio , this is the way i would have gone had my bike not been i h a half a million pieces

if you do decide to go warranty they will not give you any awnsers till they tear the bike down , by then you are pretty much commited to deal with them

Out of warranty. I didn't buy the extended because usually the things that are going to go wrong, do so in the first year/12,000 miles.

well , i wouldve sugested to go with the undercut trans anyway , like i said my cases were split 20,000 miles ago all is still goin strong! the undercut trans /with hd shift fork and billit shaft will alow more hp in the future , not that i dont like your wifes words , cause i definatly agree in that case ! when the cases go back together you shouldnt have any problems with the stock motor it will last dont be afraid of them splittin the cases

usn, hey man if you need a fix ill bring the bike by ,good luck on solving the issue

(ks-waterbug @ Nov. 01 2006,11:22) Sorry to hear this my brother.... Sounds like you have a 1397 in your future!
Prolly not a 1397, but a 1363 anyway, with headwork, HD valve springs, and cams.
