It's official! Look what came home with me today!

It's your bike AND your $$$...you can and should do whatever you want to it...just that John and/or Dave should not have to fix it up two or three times before you get your 'riding legs' under you :banghead:

Great advice Angela. We all know that it is hard for women to take good advice from us men folk however we all felt the same way you did at one time or another and had to pay the price. Just trying to save you some $$$ and down time. :please:

I would ride it like it is (with the exception of whatever you got to do to make it legal of course) and once I get a feel for it, then put the $$$$ into fixing him up. I think black would look really nice, maybe send it off to Revolution for a little custom art work. Besides, it will only take a ride or two for you to get the feel for it anyway. You are already an experienced rider. It is an awesome bike with lots of potential. You will have fun learning to fix it up.

I am getting ready to learn now and I am not only terrified of just learning, but I have a new bike to learn on. I know I will never live it down if I drop it and mess up any of the plastics or worse. Of course it doesn't have much (1250 Bandit) which is good. But it is just that much more pressure. BW won't let me learn on Luci even without the plastics or the track plastics on. Forget about the Revolution plastics. He gives me dirty looks if I have to move the bike by pushing it around the garage.

Enjoy the experience and wisdom you will gain from this particular milestone in your life!!!!! :beerchug: A girls gotta do what a Girls gotta do!!

Ok....here's the deal. IF there is room on the trailer for my bike then you have to come with yours. That's all there is to it. We are taking our classes around the same time aren't we? I'm retaking my class Mar 31 and Apr 2.

we think the first owner was some guy named Matt cuz the name is plastered on both sides.

Don't feel bad Angela... my first bike was a Ninja 600E.. the guy who owned it before me had the nickname of Super Sleezy ... it has Superman stickers all over it and the matching helmet he gave me said SLEEZY on it!! But I rode that thing as it was... I actually NEVER dropped that bike.

Then Darrell gave me the Busa and I couldn't keep that freaking thing up! I've dropped it (all parking it) 3 times!! It breaks my heart when I drop it. Save yourself some heartache and keep the current plastics, build up some confidence in your riding skills, then put the pretty stuff on. Noone really cares what your bike looks like (unless you are a bike show kind of person) they just care that you are riding and doing it safely.

Somedays I wish I still had Sleezy... but now I have Jack!! :cheerleader:

I love your stories Jules. They always help.

Jack sounds better too. Love your stories Jules!!

Talk about blackmail!!! No, I wont be at the spring bash, but I will try to make the fall bash for sure. You have riding skills already, I will be a week removed from taking the MSF course. I will be more of a hazzard than anything.

Does your bike have a name yet? Ricardo is sticking in my head for some reason.

He doesn't have a name yet, but it will come to me eventually. I've had a few in mind.
