IVAN's TRE for $45.99

Johnny I was curious about that too I have a tre and just added a pc3 but my bike is stock and I have a mapp loaded for a stock bike. Would it run better with the pc and no TRE. I don't want the TRE adding fuel and having the pc add more then it is needed. then I will be running rich. What do you suggest in this situation

Damn this TRE crap again...

This is like a marry-go-round you just can't get off of.

I am very surprised that they have not added the feature yet that will allow you to do everything the PCIIIR does now, but also do it by gear. I have emailed them several times with no response. An additional feature would be the ability to throw the ECU into 5th gear mode in 6th only, that way you get restriction bypass without any of the BS problems that go with.

I wonder how many more ponies could be squeezed out of it with a custom map by gear?

If we get information here I'll sticky the hell outta it and make certain it doesn't get lost...

I have some info that would knock your socks off when it comes to mapping. each cylinder seperatebut sorry not sharing more than that.

For the TRE/PC3R?

yes having a TRE and a PC3R is stupid unless you go faster than 186 and you could still get around that with gearing but you still won't hold the thottle open that long

Probably not any more power except if tuning by cylinder was available too. The area under the curve could be substantial though. In the lower gears much more timing could probably be used since the load is smaller due to gear ratio.

Johnny, Its disconcerting to me , for you to make a statement that all it does is add 10% more fuel, then when asked not respond? Seems like since its called a tre IE timing retard eliminator that it might deal with timing and not fuel?

It seems apparent that the oem used 6.8? ohms of resistance to indicate that the bke was in 5th gear, so by artificially giving that signal all the time you get that map and timing all the time. Hence the problems with neutral and starting sometime. Seems easy enough to incoperate that feature to disable the tre in neutral.

Okay let me say it again.
It add 10% more fuel to gears 1-4 due to the ECU thinks the bike is in 5th gear.
In 5-6th gears the ecu adds 10% more fuel to compensate for speed.
as for each cyl. mapping that is the PC3usb will do that and the timing module will hopefully be out soon.

The usb's for Harley's already have timing for front and back seperate as well as fuel.
as for the Retard part you are not gettting rid of a retard it is just running a 5th gear map with fuel and timing.

A PC3R will do it better because you still will have all the 1-6th maps in the ecu and you can change timing so.....

Like I said eariler if you have an ECU that want timing and fuel you can do it and if you have one that want less timing and fuel you can do that too.

But some people like putting bandaids on gunshot wounds.

OK let me clarify my question,

I have a pc that has a mapp build for a completely stock bike, so the mapp has the correct fuel/air mixture. If the TRE is Adding more fuel on top of what the mapp is putting, will this make me run a little rich in 1-4 gears?

Also When I did add the PC, It dropped my RPMs below 900, IS there any reason for this? I still have th tre on it as well. Sorry for the questions but you seem to be the only one that know a lot about this.

If anyone wants one I have an Ivan's smart TRE I'm willing to part with off my bike. It's $110 I'll sell it for $75 bucks. Pay pal or whatever

I never know what Johny cheese is talking about then he come up with his one liners. I'm assuming that I am missing something somewhere.

the reason you idle fell or some go up is due to a lean or rich condition so the map on the PC either has add or subtracted fuel there. and yes you would be richer in1-4. That is why on bikes with TRE you need to get them mapped in 5th only or you will be too lean in 5-6th

Does anyone have a link for the snake oil website, I've been seriously considering some. With all the rain we've had, all the natural oil has washed away.

so basically the4 mapp I need is just a 5th gear map all the way across? is there anyway to do it yourself or does it need to be taken somewhere to have it done?

Ok what is snake oil?
Snake oil is a term from the old days when con men would come to town and hawk there anti-aging beauty oil from snakes. It was actually used as anti-lots of things but the bottom line is that it was useless crap and they mislead you to believe it was something it wasn't. Something like that anyways...
