i could have had it next thursday, but decided to wait a couple of weeks extra as the new plate will help a little on re-sale. (plus im a plate snob!)
Ive already got a list of things to do.
firstly insurance (get some cheap)
need to sort out a sat nav
then fairly soon want to sort out some hard luggage, i like the look of the sw-motech rack with givi boxes.

thought i would update this thread rather than start a new one.
I picked up my blue K8 on Saturday.
i brought it home in my van as its not road legal yet.
The bad news, it has to sit in my garage for over a week, until the 1st spetember, all cos i had to get a 58 plate
I wanted it at home as it would have sat in the showroom for the week. didnt fancy it getting used as a sofa for tyre kickers.
All i can say about the bike is...wow!
in the sun, the blue and black paint is stunning!
Ive done about half a mile on it, down the private alleyway behind the houses, didnt need more than first gear though and only about 30mph reached very briefly.
Really cant wait for next monday

You are right, the first night after bringing it home was a long'un
I have a wireless baby monitor in the garage as security, it sends audio to a monitor in the bedroom thats always on. I kept waking up thinking i heard things!!
If you havnt got one though, its a great security device, could give you that extra few seconds to get your clothes on and find the rusty hammer before they get to your hayababy.
