To ride right now. Does anyone have any info on installing studs on street driven motorcycles. Not for the street but for ice. Lots of ice racing in my area right now on local lakes. I got on another local forum about this subject. I thought there had to be someone with some info in our area. There is an ice drag racing get together next weekend I'd like to stop buy and make a couple of passes.

I take it no one likes the cold. I'll post up picks of the bike when there on and I'm tearing up the ice, making fools of the snowmobiles I'll line up against.

those guys are insane... Iceland has some great ice racing... Youtube has a ton of video.. you going with short or long studs?

Well from what I've read so far, shorts studs will probably work best for my application. I've gotten on a local squid forum, some of the gents there suggested 7/16 studs, nearly a thousand on the back tire alone. Doesnt seem possible but there schooling me on what works best. Hopefully I can have it ready soon and take baby steps on the ice. I bet bet I'll be able to throw 30ft rooster tails with the busa. I cant wait.

I think I'll stick with straight lines to start with. I love watching those races. We have a local circuit here in my area, every Sunday on Lake Koshkonong. Many others as well, lots of stunt shows with sportbikes too.
