I have one textile and three leather jackets.
Between 70 - 90 F, the textile works great, it's light and comfortable. Above 120mph, the wind becomes a little bit of an issue. Never heard of UV rays going through a jacket causing sunburn?
Above 90 F, my perforated leather jacket is much cooler than the textile, it lets enough air through to cool me down, yet keeps the outside heat out.
