So, I just heard today that somebody called in a bombthreat to a local school, Wilson Memorial, today here in VA. What are people thinking?! WHY?! I hope whoever called it in is caught and the book is thrown at them! It's probably some punk kid that wants a day off school and realizes that after VT, they're gonna close the school. F'ING MORONS!!!

When I was in high-school we had a bomb threat on the days of S.A.T., A.C.T, and HSCT testing. We'd have to stand outside anywhere from 1 to 3 hours. Most of the students who drove decided to leave for the day. Those who stayed weren't given much work to do because half of the class was missing.

I thought it was funny back then. I'm not sure if they ever caught those responsible, but we sure as heck enjoyed our improptu recess.

Kids will be kids. They're gonna do things that adults will look down on (just like most of us did growing up). What we once laughed at, we now detest. I'm sure many of us here have done things we wouldn't want our kids to do and would probably punish them if they did. Things like that don't bother me much. The only thing that bothers me about false bomb threats is that it may develop a "boy crying wolf" type effect.

The types of things that do get under my skin is when kids perform foolish "pranks" which may have fatal consequences ... such as poking other students with a syringe found on the side of the road. CLICK ME!
